Assistance with essential needs (e.g., food/meals, housing emergencies; financial emergency; stress & mental health; connecting to a doctor for unresolved health needs or a checkup; childcare referrals): If you find yourself needing help with anything related to essential needs, please contact CUNY CARES, using https://www.healthycuny.org/cunycares-navigator-portal to connect to a Navigator.
CUNY CARES Navigators are fellow Bronx CUNY students who are trained to help you connect with resources and services on campus AND off campus to meet your needs.
AI Policy Statement: In this course, academic integrity and originality are paramount. Lehman College recognizes that there are a variety of Generative AI programs available to assist learners. However, AI programs are not a replacement for human creativity, originality, and critical thinking. Rather, AI tools should serve learners as a model that can help to craft writing outlines for assignments. Writing is a craft that you must develop over time through trial and error to develop your own individual voice as a writer.
However, within limited circumstances, and with proper attribution, AI programs may be
used as a tool. The use of Generative AI in any academic assignment must be cited.
Camera Use Guidelines: There may be occasions when an otherwise in-person class is scheduled to be delivered remotely on a limited basis because of a temporary University or College pivot to remote instruction or because of faculty need. In these circumstances, students are required to turn on their cameras. This requirement will be covered on the first day of class.
